Ingredients
2 large flour tortillas (
10-inch
)
1 cup cooked rice (
white or brown
)
1 cup cooked beans (
black beans or pinto beans
)
1 cup cooked meat (
chicken, beef, or pork
), shredded or diced
(
optional
)
1/2 cup shredded cheese (
cheddar or Mexican blend)
1/2 cup salsa or pico de gallo
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 avocado or guacamole
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
(
optional
)
1/4 cup chopped onions
(
optional
)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp oil or butter (
for warming tortillas
)
Instructions
Warm The Tortillas
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Warm each tortilla for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable.
Layer The Fillings
In the center of each tortilla, layer:
Rice
Beans
Meat (if using)
Cheese
Salsa or pico de gallo
Sour cream
Avocado or guacamole
Onion, cilantro (optional)
Season
Add a pinch of salt and pepper over the fillings.
Wrap The Burrito
Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll from the bottom up tightly into a burrito shape.
Optional – Toast The Burrito
Place the burrito seam-side down in the skillet for 1–2 minutes per side to toast and seal.
Serve
Slice in half or serve whole with extra salsa or sour cream on the side.
