Ingredients
  

  • 1 large head romaine lettuce (washed, dried, and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup croutons (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/3 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • (Optional: 1 grilled chicken breast, sliced — for Chicken Caesar Salad)

For Homemade Caesar Dressing (Optional)

  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 2 anchovy fillets (mashed)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Make The Dressing (If Homemade)

  • In a bowl, whisk together garlic, anchovies, mustard, Worcestershire, lemon juice, mayonnaise, and Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper.

Prepare The Lettuce

  • Tear or chop the romaine into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.

Add Dressing

  • Pour Caesar dressing over the lettuce and toss well to coat evenly.

Add Toppings

  • Sprinkle in Parmesan and croutons. Toss gently again.

Serve

  • Finish with freshly ground black pepper.(Optional:
    Top with sliced grilled chicken if desired.)
