- 1 large head romaine lettuce (washed, dried, and chopped)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup croutons (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/3 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
- Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- (Optional: 1 grilled chicken breast, sliced — for Chicken Caesar Salad)
For Homemade Caesar Dressing (Optional)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 2 anchovy fillets (mashed)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- Salt and pepper to taste
Make The Dressing (If Homemade)
In a bowl, whisk together garlic, anchovies, mustard, Worcestershire, lemon juice, mayonnaise, and Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve
Finish with freshly ground black pepper.(Optional:Top with sliced grilled chicken if desired.)
