Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • Oil for frying

For Coating

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

For Chocolate Dip (Optional)

  • 100 g dark or milk chocolate
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions
 

  • Make the dough: Add water, butter, sugar, and salt to a saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  • Add flour: Remove from heat and quickly stir in the flour until a smooth dough forms.
  • Cool slightly: Let the dough cool for about 5 minutes.
  • Add eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Prepare for frying: Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star-shaped nozzle.
  • Heat the oil: Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  • Pipe the churros: Carefully pipe strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting each piece with scissors or a knife.
  • Fry: Fry for about 3–4 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and crisp.
  • Drain: Remove the churros and place them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • Coat: Mix sugar and cinnamon, then roll the warm churros in the mixture.
  • Serve: Serve warm with chocolate sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
