- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal (yellow)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
- 1 cup milk (or buttermilk for richer flavor)
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup melted butter (or vegetable oil)
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Stir well.
Bake:
Pour batter into the prepared pan/skillet.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
