Ingredients
  

  • 4 hotdog buns
  • 4 hotdog sausages (beef, chicken, or pork)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for toasting buns)
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
  • ½ cup grated cheese (optional)
  • Pickles, relish, or sauerkraut (optional)

Instructions
 

Cook The Sausages

  • Boil: Place hotdog sausages in simmering water for 5 minutes.
  • Grill: Cook on a grill or pan until browned on all sides.
  • Pan-fry: Heat a little oil and fry until golden brown.

Prepare The Buns

  • Slice the hotdog buns lengthwise (but not fully through).
  • Toast lightly on a skillet with butter for extra flavor (optional).

Assemble The Hot Dog

  • Place a hot sausage inside the bun.
  • Add ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise.
  • Top with onions, cheese, relish, or any toppings you like.
