- 1½ cups macaroni pasta
- 4 cups water
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil or butter
- ½ cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic, minced (optional)
- ½ cup bell pepper, chopped (any color)
- ½ cup tomato, chopped (or ¼ cup tomato sauce)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning or mixed herbs
- ¼ cup cheese, grated (optional)
Boil The Pasta
Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
Add salt and macaroni. Cook for 8–10 minutes or until al dente (firm but cooked).
Drain and rinse with cold water. Set aside.
Sauté The Veggies
Heat oil or butter in a pan.
Add onions and garlic. Sauté until translucent.
Add bell peppers and tomatoes. Cook until soft.
