Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or coconut oil)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (optional, for flavor)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

Optional Seasonings:

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder or paprika (for spicy flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon grated cheese or nutritional yeast (for cheesy flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce or honey (for sweet popcorn)

Instructions
 

Heat The Oil:

  • In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add 2–3 popcorn kernels and cover with a lid.

Test the Oil:

  • When the test kernels pop, the oil is ready. Remove them from the pot.

Add The kernels:

  • Pour in the remaining popcorn kernels, cover, and gently shake the pot to coat them evenly in oil.

Pop The Corn:

  • Keep the lid slightly ajar to let steam escape. Shake the pot occasionally until popping slows down (about 2–3 seconds between pops).

Add Flavor:

  • Remove from heat immediately and transfer to a large bowl. Melt the butter and drizzle it over the popcorn. Add salt and your favorite seasonings.

Mix Well:

  • Toss until all the popcorn is evenly coated.

Serve:

  • Enjoy warm as a light snack, movie treat, or party bite.
