Authentic Shrimp Ceviche recipe made with fresh shrimp, lime juice, coriander, tomato, and chili. A healthy, low-calorie seafood appetizer.

- 500g shrimp (small or medium), peeled and deveined
- 1 cup fresh lime juice (enough to fully submerge shrimp)
- 1 medium red onion, finely chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1 small cucumber, diced (optional)
- 1–2 fresh jalapeños or green chilies, finely sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 1 ripe avocado, diced (optional but recommended)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil (optional for smoother flavor)
Prepare The Shrimp
If using raw shrimp, chop into bite-sized pieces and place in a bowl.
Pour in enough lime juice to fully cover the shrimp.
Cover and refrigerate for 30–45 minutes, or until the shrimp turns opaque and firm.
If pre-cooked shrimp: Skip to step 2 and simply marinate the shrimp for 10–15 minutes instead.
Add Vegetables & Seasoning
Mix in the chopped red onion, tomatoes, cucumber, jalapeño, coriander, and avocado.
