Ingredients
  

  • 400 g firm tofu (drained and pressed)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (or olive oil)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for crispiness)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp ginger (grated, optional)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 tsp chili flakes or sauce (optional, for heat)
  • Chopped green onions or sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare The Tofu

  • Drain the tofu block and press it under a heavy object for 15–20 minutes to remove excess water.
  • Cut into cubes, slices, or triangles.

Season The Tofu

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes (if using).
  • Add tofu pieces and gently toss. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.

Coat (Optional)

  • For extra crispiness, sprinkle cornstarch over the tofu and coat lightly.

Cook

  • Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Fry tofu pieces until golden brown and crisp on all sides (about 5–7 minutes).

Finish & Serve

  • Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds.
  • Serve as a snack, over rice/noodles, or in stir-fries and salads.
